I guess it really wasn't a cross country trip but for us it sure seemed close! Luchrysta started planning this trip at the beginning of June and when she asked me if we wanted to tag along I agreed. I said NO WAY to the NY part of the trip but am looking forward to the day when AC will enjoy it as much as the Caswell clan did. The Caswells started out a week before AC and I and drove to GA and then to NY to visit the Sweet family. Mom was very gracious and tagged along for the LONG drive. They spent 3 days in NY doing lots of fun things. You can read about it here.
AC and I chose the easy way and flew to Birmingham. We spent 2 days without the whole gang hanging out with CW and Kristen. We were privileged to have a visit from my sweet friends Claire. It was AC first time meeting her! Thank you for coming to visit for the day. We had a blast.
I forgot how sweet people are in the south. While we were there 2 of their neighbors brought over food and goodies. CW and K were very gracious host and we enjoyed playing with them for a few days. It was so fun to spend time with them. We miss not getting to see them a lot. Thanks for letting us take over your home for a few days!

Our next stop on the trip was Chattanooga to visit Robbie, Lydia and Reagan. We had a BLAST with the Sweets. An added bonus to AC and my time in TN is that we got to see Michael both nights we were there. He had taken the SR High students to camp at Covenant College, so on our way in we all stopped by to spend a little time with him. AC loved seeing her dad. Both nights she cried when she had to say good-bye. It really was a treat to see him. That same night we rode the Incline. Lydia had free tickets which was nice because I am not sure we would not have done it with out them. We ate pizza at the bottom of the mountain and headed back for bed. The next day we spent the morning at the Creative Discovery Museum. It was awesome. AC loved the water area and could have stayed there all day. She also loved the little kids play area where she pushed a lawn mower, played in the kitchen and the tree house. I think all the kids really enjoyed their time. Thanks Lydia for taking us!

Our last stop of the trip was Macon, GA where AC and I spent a few days with the Rauls. She loved playing and laughing with her grandparents. AC also was able to spend lots of time with her cousin. It was so fun to watch them interact and actually almost play together. We are looking forward to the next Rauls visit.
