Amy Caroline's Adventures

While Michael was at his camps, Amy Caroline and I had many adventures. The first week we went to Lakeland and had a blast. I was able to hang out with a few highschool friends and their children. They made me laugh so hard that I was crying! Thanks girls. We also had a special visit from my college friend Maribeth. She had been such a faithful and constant friend. I am glad that we live close to her. While Michael was at his second camp we had many visitors to our new home. Sasha and Lillian came up for a night. It was fun to watch the girls interact. Thanks for coming up! On Wednesday my cousin Sally came up and helped me paint 2 rooms( the guest room and our room). We were exhausted by the end of the week. Oh- I also painted Amy Carolines room while Michael was gone. I have been recovering from a cold but we are so glad Michael is home. Below are a few pictures of our adventures!

Life is Good

I got back yesterday afternoon from camp and i am quite tired. It was still wonderful to be able to get up this morning and have some time with Amy Caroline while Amy slept a little more. We read a book about how she was made by God and how one day he will hug her just like i do. And then we looked as some pictures of my life travels and all of Amy Caroline's aunts and uncles and grandparents. It was a special time for me and we topped it off with a big, poop-filled diaper. life is good.

Daddy's home (for a little while)

Michael got back from a week at camp with the high school students late tuesday and is off again monday for middle school camp. It was a long week for him to be away from his girls but he is enjoying every moment with them until he leaves again. He had a dream about seeing Amy Caroline the night before he got back home and she had grown long hair and was talking to him. Luckily that didn't happen over one short week. Hopefully she will not change too much over the next week and we can get back to somewhat normal life when he returns.

Sleeping

Amy Caroline has finally transitioned to the crib for her naps and bedtime. She also has been sleeping through the whole night!! I only had to get up once last night to put the pacifier back in her mouth!

On Friday we ventured out to Silver Springs . Amy Caroline did great in the jog stroller. We had a lady take a picture of the whole family but when we got home there was no picture. This is a quick picture Michael took of us.

We are finally settled in here in Ocala. It doesn't always feel like this is our new home, but I know it will get there. I love living here, close to family, but I still miss our St Louis friends. I know it takes time! Amy Caroline is finally back on a pretty normal schedule. She has started taking a long afternoon nap. I feel like she looks so much older everyday. Here are a few pictures of her new favorite toy- the exersaucer. She also enjoys sitting in the chair and looking around. For a while there I thought she was beginning to look like me but everyone still says she looks just like Michael!

3 months old

On Monday Amy Caroline will be 3 months old so I decided to try a photo shoot. Here are the pictures I liked the best.

Happy Fathers Day

Today was a great first Fathers Day for Michael. His sermon went over well. As he says, "No one walked out!" Amy Caroline slept through the whole thing (which at her age is a wonderful thing!) We then enjoyed an afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma Sweet. We love being this close to family.
